LUNCH & LEARN with Fantech | Understanding Performance in Ventilation Design
At Goldfish & Bay, our Lunch & Learn sessions play a practical role in strengthening how our engineers approach complex building systems. Our recent session with Fantech focused on the fundamentals of fan performance and the real conditions that influence system behaviour once designs move from drawings to site. Led by Nyasha Chiraga and Avinash ED, the session moved well beyond catalogue data. Their experience in system analysis and fan behaviour helped our team understand h

ON SITE | Last week, our team had the opportunity to visit TRILOGY in Macquarie Park with Plumb Group, walking the project from the basement through to the highest accessible levels of the tower.
At this scale, TRILOGY comprises three residential towers, with the tallest rising to approximately 59 storeys, making it one of the most significant high-rise developments in the Macquarie Park precinct. Hydraulic engineering therefore goes well beyond drawings and models, demanding careful planning around pressure zoning, vertical distribution, system coordination, and long term operational performance. This visit focused on learning and technical understanding rather than

Goldfish & Bay | iCIRT Accredited | ISO 9001 | ISO 45001 | ISO 14001
Some achievements become part of a company’s foundation, shaping how we work long after the announcement is made. Earning our iCIRT 4 Star rating was one of those moments. It marked a point where the depth of our internal systems and the consistency of our delivery were recognised through an independent, industry wide benchmark for trust, capability and performance. Supported by our ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications, this rating reflects the discipline, account

LUNCH & LEARN with AQUATEC | Understanding Pump Stations, Pressure Sewer and Network Control
Last week we welcomed AQUATEC to our Petersham office for a Lunch and Learn with Leon Hansen and Jayden Seeley. The session was a chance to better understand how AQUATEC support the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure, and where their systems are most applicable across different project environments. The presentation walked our team through several core product areas, including FRP and concrete pump stations, storage vessels, maintenance holes, pressure

SCHINDLER OPEN NIGHT | Staying Connected to the Future of VT
Staying close to manufacturing partners is essential to informed engineering. This week, our Vertical Transportation Engineer Citra Suparto returned to familiar ground and attended Schindler Lifts Australia Pty Limited Open Night at their new Alexandria facility, now representing Goldfish & Bay. The event offered a full look at Schindler’s latest lift systems including transparent glass shafts overlooking the street, updated control panels, machinery room access and a live vi

LUNCH & LEARN with Mitsubishi Electric | Understanding The Systems We’re Designing For Tomorrow
Earlier this week we hosted Mitsubishi Electric for a LUNCH & LEARN with our Mechanical team. What started as a standard product presentation quickly shifted into a deeper conversation about refrigerant regulation, plant flexibility and the evolving role of chillers and heat pumps in modern building services. The session explored how refrigerant pathways in Europe and Australia are shifting toward lower-GWP and natural alternatives, and what that means for local system desi
