Following an earlier technical session with Victaulic, the Goldfish & Bay team welcomed Zac Ghandour and Mike Ahmed back to the office yesterday for a second Lunch & Learn focused on fire protection assemblies, sprinkler valve configurations, and HDPE joining systems.
The session explored Victaulic’s Series UMC sprinkler control valve assembly, including compact pre-assembled configurations, integrated test and drain systems, adjustable relief valves, and installation flexibility across horizontal and vertical applications. Discussions focused on coordination efficiency, accessibility, maintenance considerations, and how pre-configured assemblies can simplify riser layouts and reduce on-site installation complexity.
The team also reviewed the 905 and 907 coupling systems for HDPE applications, examining their use across underground services and infrastructure environments. Compared with electrofusion welding, the systems highlighted advantages around installation speed, reduced equipment requirements, and simplified construction sequencing in challenging site conditions.
As with the previous session, the value came from the practical engineering discussion behind the products. The presentation connected design intent with installation realities, compliance requirements, and long-term serviceability across fire and hydraulic systems.
Thanks again to Zac, Mike and the Victaulic team for another clear and technically focused session with our engineers.
