BEHIND THE iCIRT RATING | In Conversation with Equifax

Choosing an engineering consultant means trusting both their technical expertise and the business behind it.
That was the focus of our recent visit to Equifax’s North Sydney office, where Goldfish & Bay was invited to share our experience of the iCIRT assessment process in a filmed interview.
Our Director, Joseph Kong, spoke about why we pursued independent assessment, the work involved and the value of our 4.5 star rating for clients and project partners.
We undertook the process to have our governance, professional processes and approach to project delivery independently reviewed. The assessment required detailed information about our financial position, operations and business systems. It also prompted us to examine how we work and where we could continue improving.
For our clients, this provides another way to assess the organisation they are appointing. Alongside experience, technical capability and project relationships, it offers an independent perspective on the business responsible for delivering their engineering services.
As consultants whose design decisions influence building safety, performance and ongoing operation, we believe that level of scrutiny has a meaningful place in our industry.
We appreciated the opportunity to work with the Equifax iCIRT team on this interview and contribute an engineering perspective to the conversation about trust and accountability in construction.
Thank you to the team for the invitation and warm welcome. We look forward to sharing more from the session.
