INSIGHTS, UPDATES & PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

GLENMORE PARK HIGH SCHOOL
Goldfish & Bay has been engaged by NACS Constructions to support works at Glenmore Park High School as part of the NSW Government’s broader school infrastructure program. The upgrade is focused on expanding learning facilities and supporting increased student enrolment, including specialist teaching environments and improved school amenities. Delivering education projects isn’t about scale. It’s about getting the fundamentals right. Across a number of school upgrades, our tea

LUNCH & LEARN | Tercel Australia x ABB Furse
Yesterday, our Electrical team sat in on a Lunch & Learn with Tercel and ABB Furse, covering lightning protection, earthing, and surge protection. One of the key takeaways was that the risk does not stop at the visible lightning strike. The session stepped through how damage can occur from direct strikes, nearby strikes, strikes to connected services, and induced or switching surges travelling through power, data, and telecom systems. What also stood out was the need for a co

As projects begin to be recognised across the industry, it’s worth reflecting on what sits behind the finished outcome.
Across every project, engineering plays a central role in turning intent into something that can be built, coordinated, and delivered. It sits between design and construction, carrying decisions through to real conditions on site. You won’t see most of our work. But everything depends on it. Goldfish & Bay. TALLAWONG VILLAGE | Precinct Approaching Completion
As TALLAWONG VILLAGE approaches completion, the broader precinct is taking shape as a connected residential and community hub within Sydney’s north west growth corridor. Delivered by Deicorp, the development brings together 987 new homes, retail, and a publicly accessible park, all centred around the Tallawong Metro Station. Planned as a walkable, pedestrian-focused precinct, the project links residential buildings, retail, and public domain through a network of laneways and

EDMONDSON PARK PUBLIC SCHOOL is among the first in NSW to achieve a 6 Star Green Star rating, setting a clear benchmark for sustainable education infrastructure.
The project delivers a contemporary learning environment with flexible teaching spaces, shared facilities, and outdoor areas. Goldfish & Bay was engaged during the construction phase to deliver hydraulic design and site support, ensuring the design intent was carried through into a compliant outcome on site. Our scope included detailed construction documentation (LOD300), RFIs, inspections and certification, supported by ongoing design development as site conditions evolved.

Hot water systems don’t usually drive early design decisions, but they probably should.
We had the STIEBEL ELTRON Australia team in with our electrical and hydraulic teams to run through electric hot water systems and how they’re being applied across current projects. The discussion focused on the shift away from centralised plant and how this carries through into design and coordination. Removing central plant and ring mains simplifies the building. Less plant space, shorter pipe runs and fewer coordination constraints across disciplines. It changes how service
