OSTERIA MUCCA

At 212 Australia Street, a former butcher shop has been adapted into Osteria Mucca. Killing Matt Woods retained the original green-and-white tiles and introduced marble counters, timber finishes and green leather booths.

The design respects the heritage of the terrace while giving it a new role within the precinct. The balance of old details with new materials creates a dining room that feels both historic and redefined.

Goldfish & Bay provided hydraulic design services, embedding water, gas and drainage systems into the building to support its transformation into a modern hospitality space. Designing services for a heritage terrace meant finding solutions that would meet compliance while keeping the building’s character visible.

To have contributed to Paisano & Daughters’ vision for Osteria Mucca is something we value highly, and we’re proud to have supported the adaptation of this terrace.
