The Chinese Building Association of NSW held its 6th anniversary gala at the beginning of this month, bringing together professionals who contribute to the strength and direction of the construction sector. One of the evening’s acknowledgements was the CEO Award for Young Leader for 2025, presented to the CBANSW Young Leader Committee.
For us, the moment carried real significance. Joanna Sheng stepped onto the stage with her committee, reflecting the leadership role she has built steadily over time. Within Goldfish & Bay, she has become known for her discipline and thoughtful approach to both project work and industry engagement. Those same qualities have shaped her contribution as Deputy Lead of the Young Leader Committee, where she helps create opportunities for early career professionals to learn, participate, and support one another.
Joanna’s involvement has strengthened the committee’s ability to bring people together and guide conversations that matter. The recognition received at the gala reflects the momentum the group has created and the impact of individuals like Joanna who choose to lead with intention rather than visibility alone.
We are proud of Jo and proud of the full Young Leader Committee for their commitment to supporting the next generation of professionals. Their achievement is a reminder of the value of emerging leaders who invest their time, share their knowledge, and contribute to a stronger industry.
