Celebrating Excellence at the Urban Taskforce 2024 Development Excellence Awards
Goldfish & Bay was honored to attend the Urban Taskforce 2024 Development Excellence Awards, where the industry's finest projects were celebrated. We are proud to have contributed to the success of numerous projects recognized at the awards. Out of the 39 finalists, our team had the privilege of working on 10, and we are thrilled to see 5 of our projects among the 19 winners!
The Ribbon at Darling Harbour was celebrated as Urban Taskforce Australia's 2024 Development of the Year. This iconic project, recognized for its outstanding design and significant impact on Sydney’s skyline, saw contributions from developer Pinelake Group, Hassell architects, and construction firm Multiplex.
The awards celebrated not only developers, the key risk-takers, but also excellence in design, environmental sustainability, innovation, commercial success, and user satisfaction. This year's submissions were of exceptionally high quality, making the judging process both challenging and rewarding.
David Ghannoum, Chair of Urban Taskforce Australia, highlighted the crucial role of the development industry: "Without the development industry, we would not have the houses to live in or the office or industrial spaces in which to work. The property development industry plays a fundamental role in the functioning of the economy. If our industry struggles, so too does the nation."
He also commended the NSW Government’s policy initiatives that are set to make a significant difference in housing development, addressing supply and affordability challenges.
Congratulations to all the finalists and winners of 2024!
These projects exemplify the dedication, innovation, and excellence that drive our industry forward.
