Founded in 2007, Fusion Fire Systems brings together global fire system technologies tailored for the Australasian market. Their team delivers fully integrated detection and warning platforms, from small-scale upgrades to complex multi-zone installations, certified under the JAS-ANZ scheme and aligned with Australian Standards.

Presented by Giorgio Montanari, the session explored how design decisions influence speech intelligibility under AS1670.4:2018. From SPL mapping and speaker placement to parametric EQ and reverberation control, we examined how acoustic clarity is achieved in challenging environments.

We also reviewed the Vigil platform, an integrated EWIS and PA system featuring addressable WIPs, Class-D amplification, and programmable logic. Additional insights into aspirated smoke detection, wireless detectors, and visual alarms helped reinforce how smart system design supports both performance and compliance.

For our electrical and fire engineers, this was a practical opportunity to go beyond specification and better understand the systems we help deliver, on paper and in operation.

Thank you to Giorgio and the Fusion Fire Systems team for your time and insight.
