Earlier this month, the Chinese Building Association NSW Young Leader Committee hosted its first event of 2025—a Career Development Networking Night that brought together professionals from construction, law, finance, and technology. Among the speakers was Joanna Sheng, Fire Services Engineer at Goldfish & Bay, who shared her journey and insights alongside industry leaders Ava Li (Noble Construction Group, LLC), Linda Lin (Max Harmony), and Dan XU (SkillsFit Recruiter Lab).

The evening centred around valuable conversations on career growth, industry trends, and strategies for professional development. Joanna’s contribution reflected not only her technical expertise but also her growing leadership within the industry—showing how young professionals can build meaningful, impactful careers through continuous learning, initiative, and collaboration.

This is the third time we have celebrated Joanna’s achievements—each milestone reinforcing her commitment to excellence, growth, and the future of engineering. Her journey from mastering fire safety systems to speaking confidently alongside industry leaders is a reminder of how far passion, resilience, and drive can take you.

We’re proud to have Joanna Sheng as part of our team at Goldfish & Bay and look forward to seeing her continue to inspire, lead, and shape the future of the profession.
