Would you believe you're statistically more likely to be injured on the stairs than in a lift?
It sounds surprising, but it's true.
Modern lifts are designed with multiple independent safety systems, including overspeed governors, braking systems, safety gear that locks onto the guide rails, and multiple steel ropes. Together, these systems provide multiple layers of protection to help ensure safe operation.
This was just one of the many fascinating insights shared during today's internal Lunch & Learn session, presented by our Vertical Transportation Consultant, Citra.
