Citra didn’t set out to work in construction, let alone vertical transport. But after joining global lift supplier Schindler Lifts Australia Pty Limited early in her career, she discovered an unexpected passion for the systems that move people through buildings and the design discipline required to get them right.

Today, as part of the Goldfish & Bay team, Citra brings a rare blend of industrial design thinking, technical capability, and deep lift industry knowledge to her consultancy work. She contributes to over 100 vertical transportation units annually, applying expertise that spans traffic analysis, DBP compliance, specification development, and cross-disciplinary coordination. Whether she’s reviewing machine room clearances, guiding clients through the DBP Act, or breaking down standards into actionable advice, Citra leads with clarity, precision, and care.

Her portfolio includes some of Australia’s most complex and high-profile developments. She supported the declared design team for One Sydney Harbour and Atlassian Central, the latter home to what’s expected to be the country’s first adjustable double-deck lifts. She also played a key role in the early design of Western Sydney Airport, where escalators, lifts, and moving walkways are essential to the airport’s user experience and accessibility.

Yet what defines Citra’s work isn’t just technical delivery. It’s her belief that lifts aren’t just mechanical systems, they’re experiences. They must meet code, but they must also work for people. That insight comes from a place of care, for design integrity, for client collaboration, and for building outcomes that last.

We’re proud to have Citra Suparto supporting some of our most collaborative and future-focused projects, not just as a Vertical Transportation Engineer, but as a mentor, problem-solver, and trusted guide.
