We’ve been sharing a roof for years—it was about time we shared a BBQ

At Goldfish & Bay, we’re big on collaboration—but it doesn’t always have to happen in a meeting room or on a project plan. So last Friday, we took it to the rooftop.
What started as an internal tradition—BBQ, basketball, and a wind-down after a big week—became a first-of-its-kind get-together with the companies we’ve been sharing a roof with all along. EGroup Protective Services Group Pty Ltd, A-List Entertainment, and Hero Shot Photography joined us on the Petersham rooftop for an afternoon that had nothing to do with deadlines and everything to do with connection.
There were grilled snacks, half-court shots, and a whole lot of conversation between people who usually just pass in the stairwell. No agendas. Just the simple value of spending time with those around us.
At its core, this event reflects what we’re building at Goldfish & Bay—an engineering firm that values people as much as process. Whether it's on a job site, in a project meeting, or over a backyard BBQ, we know that the best work happens when people are comfortable showing up as themselves.
