In June, the global engineering community marked INTERNATIONAL WOMEN IN ENGINEERING DAY, a moment to acknowledge the technical expertise, precision, and discipline that women continue to bring to the profession.

Originally launched in the UK in 2014 by the Women’s Engineering Society, INWED became an international event by 2017, with UNESCO patronage recognising its global importance. Now in its 12th year, it remains the only worldwide platform celebrating the achievements of women engineers and encouraging the next generation to enter the field.

At Goldfish & Bay, we see the impact of women in engineering every day, across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire, civil, and digital design. Their work shapes performance, drives innovation, and strengthens project delivery from the inside out.

This year’s theme, #TogetherWeEngineer, is a reminder that the future of engineering relies on collaboration — and on building a profession that reflects the world it serves.
