SCHINDLER OPEN NIGHT | Staying Connected to the Future of VT

Staying close to manufacturing partners is essential to informed engineering. This week, our Vertical Transportation Engineer Citra Suparto returned to familiar ground and attended Schindler Lifts Australia Pty Limited Open Night at their new Alexandria facility, now representing Goldfish & Bay.

The event offered a full look at Schindler’s latest lift systems including transparent glass shafts overlooking the street, updated control panels, machinery room access and a live view into their 24/7 monitoring centre. The standout was Schindler R.I.S.E, an autonomous robotic system designed to install lift components with precision and consistency. Seeing robotics applied directly to site installation confirms how quickly the future of vertical transportation is shifting.

Goldfish & Bay specify systems that are practical to install and maintain in real environments, not just impressive in documentation. Engineering only works when it aligns with what suppliers can deliver and what installers can safely execute. That is why staying close to the people who build these systems is not a formality for us, it is part of the design process itself.
