INSIGHTS, UPDATES & PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

THIS MONTH IN ENGINEERING | Apple Park
Some buildings are worth studying not because we worked on them, but because they set a benchmark for how engineering is coordinated, delivered, and experienced. Apple Park is one of those projects. It looks simple. It isn’t. Behind the calm façade is a campus scale engineering exercise where civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire, hydraulic and vertical transportation systems had no room for error. When everything is repeated at this scale, coordination becomes the

ON SITE | Last week, our team had the opportunity to visit TRILOGY in Macquarie Park with Plumb Group, walking the project from the basement through to the highest accessible levels of the tower.
At this scale, TRILOGY comprises three residential towers, with the tallest rising to approximately 59 storeys, making it one of the most significant high-rise developments in the Macquarie Park precinct. Hydraulic engineering therefore goes well beyond drawings and models, demanding careful planning around pressure zoning, vertical distribution, system coordination, and long term operational performance. This visit focused on learning and technical understanding rather than

HILLS SHOWGROUND PRECINCT EAST | Lot 4
HILLS SHOWGROUND PRECINCT EAST is progressing as one of Sydney’s significant new residential precincts, and our team is now delivering the building-services engineering for Lot 4. This stage forms part of a broader development that will introduce 873 new apartments to Castle Hill across a coordinated group of towers. The Lot 4 appointment builds on our earlier work within the precinct and extends the continuity of our engineering involvement as the project unfolds. Our work i

NEW PROJECT | Joining the team behind THE OSCAR
Goldfish & Bay is pleased to confirm our appointment on THE OSCAR, Meriton’s dual tower development in Brisbane. Designed by DBI Architects, the project brings two towers rising to 79 and 70 storeys to a 5,485 square metre site opposite the Brisbane Botanic Gardens. Meriton’s vision includes more than 1,000 apartments across residential and short stay accommodation, a connected podium with retail, a link between Alice and Margaret Streets, and a landscaped recreation level on

CENTRAL QUARTER | Topping Up Ceremony
Today’s event in Merrylands marked an important point in a project that has been progressing with steady purpose since our involvement began. Standing on the upper levels gave a clear sense of how far the site has come and how much coordination sits behind a structure of this scale. CENTRAL QUARTER is a mixed-use tower rising 21 floors and delivering 194 apartments across a range of configurations. It was a valuable opportunity to meet the teams driving the project forward. R
