Delivered by School Infrastructure NSW for the NSW Department of Education, Gregory Hills Public School opened its permanent campus in July 2024, around 14 months after construction began, giving one of the state's fastest growing communities a school built for more than 1,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Designed by Bennett and Trimble and built by Lipman Pty Ltd, the campus includes 44 classrooms and four support classrooms, a library, communal hall, canteen, Outside School Hours Care, staff hub and covered outdoor learning areas, alongside sports courts and outdoor play spaces. The buildings are also a showcase for mass timber, with glulam and cross laminated timber structure throughout.

A school of this size places very particular demands on its hydraulic systems. Hundreds of students use amenities, drinking fountains and play areas at the same moments each day, so water supply and drainage have to handle sharp peaks at recess and lunch, not just a steady average.

Goldfish & Bay is proud to have delivered the hydraulic engineering services for the project, and grateful to have played our part in a new school for the Gregory Hills community.
