The biggest challenge with EV charging often isn’t the charger. It’s everything behind it.

Our team welcomed Schneider Electric to Goldfish & Bay for a technical Lunch & Learn session exploring eMobility solutions and the role building infrastructure plays in supporting the transition to electric vehicles.

As EV adoption continues to increase, developers, building owners and design teams are facing a new challenge:

How do we support increasing charging demand without overwhelming a building’s electrical infrastructure?

From dedicated EV distribution boards and smart charging technologies to dynamic load management systems, the session explored the engineering behind creating EV infrastructure that is practical, scalable and adaptable.

One of the key takeaways was that successful EV integration starts early in the design process. It’s not only about installing charging points, but understanding electrical capacity, distribution systems and how buildings can respond to changing energy demands over time.

This session continued the conversation from our previous visit to Schneider Electric Hub [Innovation Hub], where our team explored the latest technologies shaping energy management, automation and smart building solutions.

A big thank you to Moamma Mahbub and the Schneider Electric team for sharing your expertise with us and supporting continued learning within our industry.
