Ozone: Where Coastal Design Meets Engineering Precision
Designing at the edge of the ocean demands more than just vision—it requires precision in blending natural elements with structural expertise, and OZONE achieves this balance effortlessly.
As the hydraulic design partner for this project, we’ve ensured that the systems supporting this landmark project are engineered for reliability and sustainability. Located just steps from South Cronulla Beach, Ozone captures the energy of the sea while incorporating the clean lines and contemporary appeal of coastal architecture.
At Goldfish & Bay, we prioritized more than just functionality in our design approach, focusing on creating systems that are fully integrated with the building’s architectural and engineering plans. Our hydraulic systems are engineered for efficiency and durability, ensuring the infrastructure is as robust as the structure itself.
Ozone reflects the careful coordination and expertise between engineers and architects. Working alongside PBD Architects, we contributed to a structure that was designed and constructed with precision and intent. The building’s sleek curves, sharp slab edges, and expansive glass balustrades seamlessly integrate the natural flow of the coastline into the built environment. The combination of materials, accentuated by the striking two-storey green wall, connects the natural environment with the built form. Each detail of the façade interacts with its surroundings, creating dynamic textures that evolve with the shifting light.
Built by Versatile Construction and developed by Rebel Property Group, Ozone’s durability is reinforced by advanced materials, ensuring long-lasting resilience in coastal conditions, particularly against salt exposure. Every decision—from the reinforced foundations to the vertical privacy screens—was made to balance strength and elegance, ensuring the building stands the test of time without compromising its refined design.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such a talented team, bringing together innovation, design, and nature in a project that reflects our shared vision.
