Designed by Richards & Spence, the studio behind The Calile Hotel, one of Brisbane’s most recognised hospitality projects, the development brings together 41 hotel-apartments with a ground floor mix of hospitality, retail and wellness spaces. The building is organised around a landscaped central courtyard, with a low-rise brick form that responds to Byron’s coastal character while establishing a clear presence within the urban fabric.

At ground level, the hospitality offering plays a key role in defining the interface between the building and the street, with a series of dining and bar spaces forming part of the broader public-facing precinct.

Goldfish & Bay delivered electrical engineering design for the hospitality component of the development, including lighting, power, communications and security systems. The scope centred on the lobby bar tenancy and required detailed coordination within a service-dense environment, aligning closely with the architectural and interior design intent.

The project sits within a broader wave of residential and hospitality development currently shaping Byron Bay, where our team is involved across a number of projects.
