ON SITE | Last week, our team had the opportunity to visit TRILOGY in Macquarie Park with Plumb Group, walking the project from the basement through to the highest accessible levels of the tower.

At this scale, TRILOGY comprises three residential towers, with the tallest rising to approximately 59 storeys, making it one of the most significant high-rise developments in the Macquarie Park precinct. Hydraulic engineering therefore goes well beyond drawings and models, demanding careful planning around pressure zoning, vertical distribution, system coordination, and long term operational performance.

This visit focused on learning and technical understanding rather than a formal site review, giving the team time to walk through systems in real conditions. It was a chance for our engineers to see how design intent translates into built infrastructure, how services are resolved at this scale, and how collaboration with skilled trades brings complex systems to life.

Opportunities like this are rare. Time on site is limited, and projects move fast. But standing within the building, particularly at this height, reinforces the value of getting engineers onto site to inform future design decisions.

Thank you to Abraham and Tony from Plumb Group for hosting the walkthrough, along with members of the Meriton Group team on site. A special thank you to our Director, Joseph Kong, whose extensive experience as a hydraulic engineer added valuable context and insight throughout the visit.
